I got scratched by some bamboo on a walk the other month, and it flared up something wild. My dad said there are a lot of enzymes in bamboo that irritate the skin if you get cut with it.

We have one of those fake mobile phone masts trees a couple of miles from here. I think its a little broader than the one in your photo and up close looks nothing like a real tree. It surprising, from a distance, how much it blends in though, if you aren't looking out for it.

GG: it really was a pretend tree. If you look at the branches some go up and some go down - but I wouldn't have noticed it without my eagle- eyed son.
